About HOLOS

HOLOS is a pioneering drinks company with a big social purpose. Based in West Sussex, we brew authentic, small batch kombucha for our growing customer base of cafes, restaurants and retailers across the UK as well as online.

The HOLOS brand has been featured on ITV’s This Morning, BBC Good Food, Olive and Stylist magazines amongst others. With a new product in development ready for imminent launch, we are in an exciting stage of expansion and growth. 

Role Title: Sales Manager

Hours: Full Time

Salary: £25k basic, annual Bonus, equity stake

Location: On-site at our brewery in West Sussex (Washington) plus travel as required 

Reporting to: Managing Director 

 

What we’re looking for

This is a rare and exciting opportunity to play a key leadership role in a dynamic up and coming ethical drinks brand. You’ll drive forward the sales strategy for our existing products as well as lead the launch of our new product into the on-trade, hospitality and events sector. 

You’ll bring to the table your insight, experience and networks in the food and beverages industry (FMCG, on and off trade), with proven performance in winning new business and successful account management. You’ll have a passion for growth with an entrepreneurial and ‘hands on’ mindset willing to get involved in what needs to happen to make HOLOS a success. You’ll have strong initiative, drive and focus, whilst being able to bring others with you through exceptional communication and collaboration skills. You’ll be able to work at pace, with agility and passion. You must enjoy being part of a wider team and willing to play your part to support the overall operations of the business.

West Sussex based with travel within South East England. Full UK driving license is required and access to a vehicle.

Role Specification

Winning new business: On and Off trade 

  • Identify and win new sales accounts to hit revenue and profitability targets 

  • Secure listings with target national distributors 

  • Manage and attend key trade events 

Grow sales direct to consumer

  • Management of our direct to consumer subscription business

  • Manage ‘on the ground’ marketing, promotion and sampling activities 

  • Work in collaboration with the marketing team to build the HOLOS brand

Account Management 

  • Cultivate and grow our existing portfolio of accounts

  • Identify and manage innovative opportunities and activities that will strengthen these relationships and drive sales (e.g. staff training, joint business planning)

  • Generate effective sales forecasts 

General Business Leadership 

  • Develop the HOLOS sales strategy in partnership with founding team.  

  • Work in close partnership with the rest of the team to ensure HOLOS is a success, including getting involved in production and operations when needed. 

  • Collaborate closely with marketing colleagues to develop our commercial strategy, approach and tools. 

  • Inputting to quarterly investor and community communication and engagement. 

  • Input into long term business strategy

Key Experience, Skills and Behaviours 

  • Sales and / or commercial experience in the food and drink industry (FMCG, on or off trade) 

  • Track record of success in winning new business and effective relationship building

  • Strong negotiation skills 

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills 

  • Financially and commercially literate

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Powerpoint and Excel

  • Entrepreneurial ‘can do’ mindset 

  • Team player

  • Determined and optimistic
