Happy International Women’s Day 2025, World-Changers!
This year’s theme is Accelerating Action, and in true Holos style we are looking at Accelerating Social Action - what we can all do to make a difference in the lives of women around us. We founded Holos for the specific purpose of supporting women who are rebuilding their lives after exploitation - and we love finding and learning from others who have done the same.
We’ve gathered an incredible bunch of female founders and leaders of social impact organisations like Holos for a fun, informative and challenging panel discussion with:
Naomi Partridge, Co-Founder - Holos and Holos Foundation (host /facilitator)
Anneka Wallington, Founder & CEO – Recognised and The Recognised Foundation'
Lucy Butt, Co-Founder and CEO - Bramber Bakehouse
Emily Death, CEO - Sophie Hayes Foundation
Emily Chalke, Founder – Ellas
Romilda Dompreh, Founder – Romildamor Foundation
Jenny Walker - Co-Founder and Co-Director – Orchards
Each of these women have founded and / or lead charities or businesses that provide tangible opportunities to support women in rebuilding their lives after the horrors of exploitation and trauma. We’re talking accommodation, employability and employment, legal advice, coaching, training, counselling, baking skills, wellbeing support, community and raising critical funds and awareness for important causes. Each one has innovated, overcome and curated unique ways to make a specific difference in accelerating positive social action for women.
We asked them what they wish they’d known as a top-tip for anyone else who has an idea to make an impact for women around them… and here’s what they said…
Find your Tribe - others who care and want to run together
Find your Why - to sustain you for the long haul
Just Start - don’t wait to have it perfectly planned out
Start Small but Dream Big
Pace Yourself
Celebrate the Small Wins
Take Courage even in the face of Fear
