Holos is Brewed for Good.

We believe every business, no matter its size, has a role to play in fighting social injustice.

Inspired by a life-changing moment in Cambodia, where our co-founders Megan and Naomi volunteered with people experiencing exploitation and trauma, we started Holos to help see lives transformed through the power of supportive employment. Our mission is to break the cycle of exploitation and trauma for survivors in the UK.

  • Providing supportive work placements in our packing team - building confidence, belonging and employability

  • Providing survivor Rebuild Grants for holistic and therapeutic support through our charity, The Holos Foundation.

  • Partnering with modern slavery charities to drive fundraising and awareness

Every box of kombucha sold provides opportunities for survivors to rebuild their lives - taking a stepping stone towards financial independence and renewed hope.

Holos have provided paid work for 15 survivors of exploitation and trauma since we started.

HOW IT ALL BEGAN

It all started with Maya. Our founders Naomi and Megan, met Maya on the streets in Cambodia, trapped in exploitation.

Naomi and Megan learnt that Maya had a passion for nail art. They supplied her with a start-up nail kit and arranged for Maya to do paid manicures in the hotel lobby for guests.

Using this, Maya turned her life around. She took the opportunity with both hands, and her business started to grow. A year later she was off the streets, and her children were in school, safe and happy. A cycle had been broken.

This is where our vision was born - to build a business where survivors of exploitation and trauma can rebuild their lives.

BREAKING THE CYCLE OF EXPLOITATION

Rebuilding your life after exploitation or trauma can be a long process. Safety is essential - and our amazing charity partners ensure housing, psychological, legal and physical needs are met.

When they feel ready, survivors of exploitation and trauma can access our work placement programme. Here, they learn new skills and do meaningful work in a place they belong. We believe this is a stepping stone to confidence, financial independence and building a new future.

THE HOLOS FOUNDATION

The Holos Foundation was established by Holos to deepen our social mission to provide more holistic support beyond work placements. The Holos Foundation seeks to support survivors on their journey towards greater healing, wholeness and freedom. They provide ‘Rebuild Grants’ for survivors which are primarily funded through donations from select Holos product sales, specifically funding support to help survivors rebuild their lives - for example through access to therapeutic support.

‘It changed how I feel and how I think. For the first time, I didn’t feel alone. I have more confidence, I was given permission to cry and show my emotion. A place to cry, smile and be different. If it wasn’t for this group I would be stuck’
